This week we explored how to live out God’s calling for unity within our community, building on the foundational truth that God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are the perfect model of unity. We revisited how sin fractured harmony and how love binds us together, enabling us to be a powerful witness to the world. Drawing from Paul’s teachings in Ephesians, the message emphasised living a life worthy of our calling through humility, gentleness, and patience, actively striving for peace. We discussed challenges to unity in today’s society and how spiritual forces foster division, reminding ourselves that disagreement doesn’t equate to hatred and to avoid “guilt by association” as Jesus demonstrated. Practical steps for fostering unity were shared, including listening with humility, forgiveness, building bridges, and prayer, ultimately aiming for the church to powerfully demonstrate Christ’s unifying love to the world.
