This week we delved into the powerful message from Hebrews chapter 4, verses 14 to 16, exploring Jesus as our great high priest. We discovered that Jesus, who is both fully God and fully man, understands and sympathises with every weakness and temptation we face, yet remained without sin. The sermon highlighted the significance of Jesus’s ascension into heaven, where he was enthroned as King of Kings and now intercedes for us. This understanding empowers us to come boldly to the throne of grace daily, not just on Sundays, to obtain mercy and find grace in our time of need. We were encouraged to embrace “throne thinking” in our prayers, approaching God with complete honesty about our frustrations and desires, and actively participating with Him in seeing gradual, transformative changes in our lives and the lives of our loved ones. The message emphasised that God’s grace is not a last ditch effort, but a daily wave of support, ensuring our future is bright.
